Light house

There is a song by nickel creek called "The lighthouse's tale". Michael loves this song and was listening to it in the jeep with the girls this Saturday. Emry asked Michael what the song was about so he explained. It is a tale told by the perspective of a lighthouse about his keeper and the woman he loves. One day the woman has to leave on a ship and the lighthouse watches a storm come and the ship sink.



Today Emry showed me this picture she drew of the song.

Then we listened to the song together. At the end it says that the keeper ran off the side of the lighthouse onto the rocks (basically committing suicide):(

Emry asked me about that part and I told her that the man ran off the end of the lighthouse (perhaps too much information for a 4 year old, I'm sure mike left that part out when he told her the story).



Now Emry has drawn me a new picture of a lighthouse.



This one has a gate at the top though, smart girl:)
